Reiki & Tarot Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is a form of hands-on-healing used to cleanse, balance and heal while invigorating the mind, body and soul. Reiki is based on the idea that an energy life force flows within each of us. Lorraine offers Reiki healing as individual sessions, classes, workshops and circles.

Individual Reiki Session

A session is done on a reiki table with the client fully clothed. The hands are gently placed on the  body or the aura in the areas of the seven major Chakras, the joints and the feet.  Intuition guides the length of time the hands remain in any given area. A state of deep relaxation, combined with a general feeling of well-being, is usually the most noticeable immediate effect of the treatment, although emotional releases can also occur.[

 

Group Reiki Training

Lorraine encourages students to use their unique intuitive abilities and to express them through healing. The Reiki symbols are passed to each student and are inspiring turning points in each student's life. 

  • Each Reiki Level Class is approximately eight hours. 
  • The appropriate sacred Reiki symbols are passed in each level. 
  • These attunements prove to be forever opening, clearing and life changing.
  • Learn Reiki in an open and supportive class while healing yourself and others.

Reiki I - Self Healing

This is the first level of Reiki and teaches self-healing. One cannot begin to heal others until they have taken the responsibility to heal themselves. Basic tenets of Healing Others are introduced. History of Reiki, Principals, Discussion of Chakras and Healing Meditations are integral. A Certificate of Completion and Lineage and a Manuel are included in the course fee.

 

Reiki II - Healing Others and Distance Healing

In the second degree Reiki course, the student learns the use of three symbols which enhance the strength and distance over which Reiki can be exerted. Another attunement is given, to further increase the capacity for Reiki to flow through the student, as well as empowering the use of the symbols. Having completed the second level, the student can work without being physically present with the recipient. 

 

Reiki Master Level 

This training session is for those who feel called to teach Reiki, to pass on the energy on a professional level, and to thus become Reiki Master/Teachers. While this classroom course lasts only one day, and has only a set fee, students agree to work on various healing assignments over several months, as discussed in detail with Lorraine before participation in the class. 

 

Reiki Healing Circles

Open to all levels of Reiki Practitioners and those wishing to experience Reiki, perhaps for the first time.  Evenings will include group discussion, energy work and Reiki Healing (participants receive Reiki while seated in a chair.)  Information will be available concerning Full Reiki Healing Sessions, available at Miami Life Center and Reiki Attunement Classes.

Rev. Lorraine Meyer, HDD, MCHt, is a Usui Reiki Master and Teacher. After witnessing her husband persevere through procedures and complications from a brain tumor, Lorraine realized it was time to bring the Reiki she was using in her own life and healing to others. Lorraine now offers the healing comfort of Reiki to everyone. Lorraine brings caring and compassion and a true love for sharing and healing to each of her sessions. Her passion is to see you heal, grow and succeed. She is a member of the World Reiki Ministry and continues to broaden her knowledge of holistic healing. She recently completed the Akashic Records Level II course and is a certified Master of Hypnosis.
