In 2006, Kino MacGregor and her husband Tim Feldmann founded Miami Life Center, a community space dedicated to the integration of yoga, holistic health and consciousness.
Tim Feldmann is authorized to teach directly by both the founder of the Ashtanga Yoga Method, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and his grandson, Sharath Rangaswami. Tim is a co-founder of the Miami Life Center. Tim’s teaching integrates his extensive study of Alexander Technique and sitting meditation with 20 years of experience as a professional dancer and an internationally acclaimed choreographer (www.timfeldmann.com). His in-depth knowledge of functional anatomy, alignment as well as the idiosyncratic body and mind in stillness and in motion creates the platform upon which his solid understanding of the Ashtanga method rests. Tim is dedicated to Ashtanga’s traditional method and is currently practicing the Advanced A series.
Kino MacGregor is an international yoga teacher, author of two books (The Power of Ashtanga Yoga to be released in 2013 by Shambhala Publishers,Sacred Fire published June 2012 by Harmony Publishers UK), producer of six Ashtanga Yoga DVDs (A Journey, A Workshop; Ashtanga Yoga Primary Series; Ashtanga Yoga Intermediate Series; Ashtanga Yoga Third Series; Introduction to Ashtanga Yoga; Ashtanga Yoga Home Practice Series Backbends), writer, vlogger, world traveler, and co- founder of Miami Life Center and founder of the print and digital magazine, Miami Yoga Magazine (www.miamiyogamagazine.com). Her YouTube channel reached more than 5 million views in just over a year and provides practice tools for students of yoga all over the world (www.youtube.com/kinoyoga). Kino is one of a select group of people to receive the Certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga by its founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India and she currently practices through the Fourth Series of Ashtanga Yoga.
With a Master’s Degree from New York University, Kino integrates her commitment to consciousness, lifelong learning and empowerment with her yoga teaching. Both Tim & Kino are dedicated to carrying the torch of Ashtanga yoga all over the world and sharing the amazing tradition of Ashtanga yoga with everyone who is inspired to practice. Each year they visit Europe, Asia and the Americas sometimes traveling to more than 30 different cities in 15 different countries to share the message of Ashtanga Yoga. In her unique, inspirational and playful approach Kino helps all her students expand and deepen their understanding of yoga and life. Through hands-on assists, demonstration and concise explanation Tim helps individuals learn how to apply essential anatomical and technical information to their individual body thereby enhancing well-being and giving access to natural physical potential.
Passionate about giving back and the environment, Kino and Tim participate in promoting and giving to various charities, Kino also pledges a monthly donation to Go Zero! to make her heavy travel schedule carbon neutral.
